At the age of 27, I donated eggs for the first time in LA, California, and I understood what egg donation is all about!
I am Xiaofang. Before I decided to donate my eggs, I searched online and found that there were not many online reviews. This is also a relatively important decision, so I want to share my experience with girls who are considering donating eggs in the United States. However, this is not to encourage every girl to donate eggs in the United States. I also searched for experience on my own and asked friends who have donated eggs before. I did it after carefully evaluating my physical condition. The biggest risk of egg donation is ovarian stimulation syndrome. Everyone should also google it to learn about it.

Why do I want to donate eggs in the United States? What are the reasons?
Because I already have two children and don’t want to have more in the future, I think it’s a good thing to help people and make money at the same time. After all, you can get nearly 10,000 US dollars for each donation in the United States, which is really a big temptation for me.
If you want to donate eggs in the United States, we recommend you to find “Egg Love”!
I searched many clinics online and finally chose Luan Ai, which was very friendly and responsive. They can choose a suitable obstetrics and gynecology department for examination based on where you live, so you don’t have to make a special trip to Taipei.
【Fill in the information】
Basically, if you have donated before, you have a high chance of being selected first, because you have passed the basic examination, and it depends on whether your other conditions are matched. You need to fill in your health status, family medical history, etc. They asked a lot of questions, and most importantly, photos and self-introduction videos!!!
Because their egg donation conditions will be based on your photo and temperament to determine the appropriate egg donor, so choose a beautiful, confident, smiling, lively, positive photo as the first impression, and a video, and also need to put on a little light makeup, introduce your personality and talents, etc. (This is a big factor in determining whether you can be matched!!)
【Egg Donation Examination Process】
1. Ultrasound examination:
Next, we will arrange the first abdominal ultrasound examination, which will be on the third day of the menstrual period. Please go to the nearest obstetrics and gynecology department or infertility center. After the follicle examination is done to confirm that there is nothing strange and the number of follicles is more than 10, we will give you a simple report.

Indicates how many follicles you have and whether your ovarian ovulation is normal) If there are more than 10, you need to have a blood test for your progesterone, hormone, AMH value, etc.
2. Gene DNA:
After you pass the test, Egg Love will send you a saliva box to collect your saliva, put it in a tube, and send it to a US laboratory for testing. The test results will tell you if you have hidden DNA diseases. This will take about two weeks.

3. Donated egg testing – Chromosome testing:
After confirming that there is no problem, this is just to test whether there is any abnormality in your chromosomes. It is said that most people will pass.
4. Egg donation screening – genetic disease screening:
After the examination in Taiwan, Egg Love will provide a report to the hospital in the United States, and they will arrange a time for me to go to the United States to donate eggs according to my menstrual period. During this waiting period, I communicated with the American medical center and

The nurse had a video call with me to let me know the whole egg donation process. The doctor looked at my first egg donation data and found that my estrogen level was relatively high, so he would adjust the ratio of ovulation drugs to reduce the chance of side effects.
Afterwards, the hospital gave me a cycle schedule, including when to start taking birth control pills, when to stop taking them, when to go to the United States, how to use the medicine, and the time of surgery.
After completing the egg donation screening, I prepared to go to the United States!
During the process, Luan Ai helped me book the flight ticket, and I chose a direct flight. They also provided me with answers to the frequently asked questions of customs, simple English questions and answers, and how to enter the country. Luan Ai explained the steps to me via video and LINE, which made me feel at ease. I took birth control pills for nearly a month to give my ovaries a rest and stabilize my cycle. Later, when I was about to leave for the United States to donate eggs, I prepared clothes and snacks that would last for about two weeks.
It was smooth going through customs. Customs will ask you where you are going and what is your purpose. You will have a simple travel itinerary, which is arranged by Luan Ai. During the 14-day period, you can eat, drink, play, go to Disneyland, and go to the doctor occasionally. If you don’t know how to take UBER when traveling, you can ask them to call a car for you.
After entering the United States, what is the process of egg donation?
When I first arrived in the United States, someone from my family came to pick me up and took me to their dormitory. The next day, I went to have my blood drawn and ultrasound scan done, and a nurse explained the precautions for the injection. Christine from my family was very nice, and took me to the nearby Chinese supermarket to buy things, to Ocean Park, Disneyland, and Hollywood Boulevard. It was like a local tour guide!!
In the following days, I took videos of the ovulation injection and egg-breaking injection to show to the hospital to see if there were any problems. Finally, it was time to retrieve the eggs. I had to fast and not drink water the day before the operation, change into surgical gowns, and fall asleep after anesthesia. Not long after, when I woke up, they said that the eggs had been retrieved. The doctor said that I retrieved 27 eggs, which is not bad for my age!!

After the surgery, my stomach became bloated the next day, but it slowly subsided after three or four days. The doctor also reminded me not to eat starch, high salt, and high sugar after the surgery, because they will accelerate water retention. If I have any problems or discomfort, I can always tell them via WeChat, and they will deal with it actively.
Later, when I returned to Taiwan the following Monday, I received US$7,000 in nutrition money for egg donation!! I felt that I could travel to the United States for free and get so much money, which made me a small wealthy woman (belly woman) for a while, and I could help others. I really felt that it was meaningful and happy.
