Why Donate Eggs

In fact, many girls who are willing to donate eggs do so in order to help others. Having children is one of the things that many people believe must be accomplished in their lifetime. It is not for the traditional stereotype of raising children to provide for old age or to continue the bloodline, but because you can create and participate in the birth of a life.

Why would anyone need someone else’s eggs?
According to statistics, approximately 15% of couples suffer from “fertility problems”, which means that one out of every seven couples has infertility-related problems. There are actually many reasons for infertility, and not all women’s fertility is normal and healthy.
For example, older age, ovarian dysfunction due to other reasons, incomplete ovarian development due to congenital factors, loss of ovulation function due to surgery or infection, or genetic diseases and the inability to assist with preimplantation genetic diagnosis, etc., are all possible causes of infertility.

The significance of egg donation is to help others regain the preciousness and creativity of life
Donating eggs is to pass on your love to the next family. The success or failure of egg donation is not the primary focus. What is important is that your loving contribution is a hope for every family that desires it. Through the act of egg donation, you can not only help couples with “fertility problems” to successfully conceive, but also conduct a health check for yourself. It can be said that you kill two birds with one stone! Maybe we have limited ability and cannot change the world, but we may be able to change the world of a family. The regulations for egg donation vary from country to country, and currently most Taiwanese women choose to donate eggs in Taiwan or in the United States. In Taiwan, “egg donation” is a legal donation behavior. According to Taiwan’s artificial reproduction law, the most basic requirement for egg donors is that their ovaries are in good function and they can donate eggs if they meet the following conditions:
  • Aged 20-35.
  • Height above 155cm.
  • The BMI value is between 18 and 24.
  • The couple has never donated or has donated but the recipient has not had a live birth and has no stored embryos to be implanted. (Taiwan stipulates that egg donation is limited to once at most)
The conditions for donating eggs in the United States can be divided into three categories: physiological conditions, psychological conditions, and external conditions.
